Who is Azor Ahai?
Azor Ahai was a legendary hero who wielded a burning sword called Lightbringer. Book readers say that Azor Ahai lived during the Long Night, the time when the White Walkers attacked the First Men. Some say that he even help defeat the White Walkers. I believe that he did, because he had a burning sword. Fire is no friend to Wights, White Walkers or Ice.
Who is Melisandre?
Before you know Melisandre, you must know R’hllor. R’hllor is also know as The Lord of Light. You guys must have heard the Red Priestess saying about him. He is a famous God in Essos. In Westeros, he is commonly know as The Red God. In Essos, Tyrion saw a Red Priestess talking to the her followers.
Melisandre is a Priestess of the Lord of Light and a Shadowbinder. Remember how Rendly died? Yeah it was her “shadowmagic”. Even Davos Seaworth got spooked. Melisandre believed that Stannis Baratheon would be the reborn Azor Ahai. But at the end of episode 10 of the 5th season. She knew he wasn’t. If you watched the show you would have seen how Melisandre kept eyeballing Jon Snow. She obviously has something on to him. Plus Melisandre arrived just before Jon got “for the watch-ed”. Remember Beric Dondarrion? He got resurrected by the Red Priest several times. You guys must have seen him. So what I am saying is that a Red Priest or Priestess can resurrect the dead.
Winter is not coming. Winter is here!
Fire and Ice, a combination that is included in the plot of Game of Thrones. Now we all know that White Walkers will be marching towards the wall. And honestly, after Jon’s death, I’m on their side. I mean all they want is World Peace by creating loyal, yet suicidal servants. Moving on. Melisandre believes that Azor Ahai would be reborn, in order to defeat the Great Other. Which is mentioned in the Books.
Wait. What about R + L = J?
All I’m about to tell you are just theories that the book readers talk about. King Robert ended up on the throne because of the Robert’s Rebellion. This started when Rhaegar Targaryen abducted Lyanna Stark, who was Robert’s one-true-love. This caused an all-out rebellion which took down the greatest dynasty that was ever built. The era of the Targaryen ended and Robert ended up on the throne — Ned finally reached Lyanna as she lay dying in a bed of blood. There was fear in her eyes, while she called for “Ned” to promise her something. What she said was never mentioned.
Ned, one of the most noble men of Westeros. Brought a bastard son into their family. Jon Snow. (Snow is the bastard name given to bastards that are born in the North). The theory suggests that Jon was never a bastard of Ned Stark. It says that Jon Snow has Targaryen blood in his veins. He is half Stark, half Targaryen.
Could Jon Snow be Azor Ahai?
So far I can’t tell you anything. But what I can tell you is that if Stannis Baratheon isn’t the guy that will become Azor Ahai, somebody else should be reborn as him. Also I don’t think that GRRM/HBO will actually kill (I know, but I don’t think he is dead-dead) one of the (really really main) characters.
That is all guys, make sure to drop a like and leave a comment.
